Review on Advanced Caller ID-Enabled AT&T πŸ“ž TR1909 Trimline Corded Phone in Stylish White by Michael Murphy

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Feels light and fragile; difficult to read dial. Doesn't compare to the cost of a standard Trimline 210.

I've relied on AT&T Model 210 Trimline desk phones from Revain for years. They're amazingly cheap, beautifully designed, extremely durable and strong (in the sense that they can withstand falls), and they have great sound, as well as a backlit keyboard that doesn't require batteries. Unfortunately, I bought this TR1909 model as an experiment. -- I thought it was time to install Caller ID -- but I'm disappointed. Yes, it's pretty cheap too, but the device feels light and flimsy, is more difficult to use, takes four AA batteries, feels small in my hand, and as some commenters have pointed out, the digital information is in the Dial top tiny, no backlight and very difficult to read. Even the ringer toggle (to change the tone from low to high or turn it off entirely) feels small and weak, and the ringer is remarkably quiet even at high volumes. benefit from unwanted calls, but I suspect I'll be back to my trusty old 210 soon.
