The device works great and delivers full gigabit speeds for large transfers. The main reason I chose this particular model and device is that they support 802.1x authentication. We implement 802.1x in our corporate environment and previous gigabit ethernet USB 3.0 adapters didn't support .1x, but this one does and does it flawlessly. Finally, it does everything I need and works great on Windows. 7/8 (not tested on 10), as well as on OSX Mavericks (10.9) and El Capitan (10.11).
