Overall it's great for setting rivets. I had no issues with rough handling or other quality control issues. It has been lightly oiled to prevent rust, this was quickly cleaned with a rag. I'm still a leather lover but this tool, along with the matching CS Osborne copper rivets, has really improved the quality and strength of my work. This helped solve some of the initial problems I had when the domed part of the riveter wasn't as efficient as I would have liked.
