We bought them for our cruises. Works so well! The only part of the ship that didn't work was when we were on main deck 16 we couldn't reach anyone on deck 5. It must have something to do with the fact that everything is metal down there. no windows because it worked on level 6 where there were windows. We've automatically set our walkie-talkies to a private channel so we don't have conflicts with other passengers. We also "phoned/called" to get other people's attention before we spoke, so that was a plus. The vibration feature was nice too. I worked out, hanging the walkie-talkie on my waist and wearing headphones. My family "called" me and I felt their vibration, not the need to listen. It was amazing being on a cruise ship!
