My daughter just doesn't like this blanket

We've had this blanket for almost 3 months now and she doesn't use it at all. I am very disappointed. $50 is practically thrown to the wind. I researched the comforters for her a few months before purchasing and had high hopes. She refuses to let that blanket even touch her. It has held up well to multiple washes but is fading more than expected. In general, I'm just disappointed. Blanket of all decent quality
