Required if your microphone doesn't have a mute switch
It's easy to mute the sound whenever I want because my new mic didn't have a mute switch. Unlike the mono headphone mic that came with my PS4, using the mute switch doesn't produce any sound that other people on the internet can hear (tested on PSN). The volume knob can sometimes get stuck after some time of use. I have to keep tuning it to hear the sound.
