Review on Timberland PRO Pitboss Steel Toe Brown Men's Shoes - Ultimate Safety and Style by Matthew Maggot

Only buy if you know a good shoemaker.

I've had problems with these boots since day one. I have read many reviews and it seems that the pair I received has all the typical problems I have read about. First the back seam. the heel where 2 pieces of leather are connected. This seam is very tight and cuts into the heel, mainly on the right foot, but it was bad on the left foot too. After a few days hoping they would break, I decided to stretch them myself, stuffed the toe and used a fat hex wrench to press on the heel, wet the skin and left it on overnight, 3 days. Do this every night and I could finally put up with these boots. The steel toe box feels tight and too short, completely exposing my pinky toe. (This is not a reason to deduct a star as they are advertised as 6" but a personal complaint.) 2 months almost a day after receiving these boots and this morning I lace up my boots for work and the fourth eye (outer loop before quick lacing at top) popped out. Upon inspection I noticed the rivet appeared to be poorly formed so now I can send it back in the mail and wait for new ones to arrive just to snap back in after the final breakage digging my heels.I will not be buying anything from this company again,I bought the boots for about $90 now they are $120 and definitely not worth the price.
