We needed a doorstop for a door that tends to close in drafts. This stopper was easy to install and keeps the door in place. The only reason for 4 stars is that I've found the way this stopper works doesn't always allow for an easy lift when trying to close the door while walking through with my hands full. My husband doesn't have this problem and the good thing is that unlike some other stoppers, this stopper can be lifted with your foot without using your hands. One note my husband overlooked when installing it in the door: we have a wooden slatted floor. , and the ground isn't quite level, even though it looks like it. Make sure the stopper works anywhere on the floor you need it. We have a couple of boards where the stopper doesn't touch the ground so it doesn't hold the door in those places. When installing, use a height that works at the lowest points on the floor. In some places it's only a fraction of an inch, but the stopper can't work unless it touches the ground.
