I finally pulled the trigger and got a digital meat thermometer. After studying them, I found the Riiada TM08. Wireless was necessary as I didn't want BlueTooth. After a few uses and more cooked meat, I liked the device so much that I bought a second one. Now I can cook 3 large pieces of meat, monitor their temperature as well as the internal temperature of the smoker. I personally think the quality is excellent. The probe cables are strong and long enough. The blocks are well designed. They can't be thrown around, I don't know of any such thermometer so I'm pretty sure they will break if not handled properly. They are easy to use and come with clear instructions. I wish I had a few extra AAA batteries on hand as the one set that came with the unit went bad. But it's okay, batteries are pretty cheap. Temperatures are accurate from block to block. Love the carry/storage bag they come in. Definitely won't hesitate to buy another one when I make more meat. I highly recommend this device.
