good stake - many years of use
yes these are plastic covered hollow metal rods- fine for me with Florida sand. I did use a couple elsewhere and I just drilled into the dirt with a 36 in bit that I had.
- Sturdy and looks great in the garden.
- The use of plastic in the stakes is not environmentally friendly, and there are more sustainable alternatives available on the market
