I bought two of these last year. The first point was more of a problem. Two bulbs blew out after a few months. Shortly thereafter, the rotary engine began to slow down and eventually just stopped working. We lived with it for a while before my son asked for a new one. I bought a second one and my son has been using it every night for 6-7 months (far exceeding the lifespan of the first one). The lights didn't burn out at all, but at that point the rotary motor stopped working. Soon he is asked to be replaced again.
