I wanted a thinner and lighter case for my iPad mini5 and this case is perfect for that. My previous case was good but a bit bulky and not as light as I wanted for outdoor use. This case fits well and the magnetic closure works perfectly. The camera lens hole offers a full screen view. The only weak point is the kickstand, which works, but since this cover is two-piece rather than three-piece, its stability is on the lighter side. It's good for browsing/reading, but shakes a bit if you press the screen too hard. This is an acceptable compromise for me as I wanted to take advantage of a thinner/lighter lid, and that doesn't come without some design concessions. I'm happy with both the cover and the smooth plasticized material. There is quite a wide range of colors, I had a dark blue. I am satisfied with the case and can recommend it.
