I'm a tall man weighing over 400 pounds and I'm struggling to find a comfortable enough place to sit at my craft table and paint for hours. The fact that it's a backless stool allows me to sit up straight and not slouched, which helps with lower and upper back pain. The wheels roll smoothly on the wooden floor of my workshop. I also use it in the kitchen when I'm cooking, which takes more than a few minutes (standing with my weight and a sore back can be very uncomfortable). The smooth movement of the wheels allows you to quickly move around the kitchen. The stool is VERY solid and I don't hesitate to put my full weight on it, just like other furniture, even though it's designed for heavier people. I have full confidence in this stool supporting me. The only downside, and I've adjusted to that, is the width of the raised part of the saddle in front and the comfort of it between my legs. I wish it was a little smaller but I'm used to it and it's not a problem. The width of the raised pieces really puts my feet in the right position for my feet to land properly on the ground. Overall very high quality and as long as you are willing to adjust to the raised portion of the saddle, which was easy enough for me, I would recommend this for people over 400lbs and lighter.
