As a teacher I needed a durable and flexible keyboard case. After doing a lot of research, I found that this case has a full-size keyboard and home hotkeys that help me use my iPad more intuitively, like a computer. (My favorite shortcuts for the home screen are settings, volume, play, stop, and brightness because I can access everything without going into the iPad settings, which saves time!) If you do some research, you'll find that not all keyboard cases offer this feature. which was important to me because I use my iPad in class. (We have to make a lot of "instant observations" about what kids are learning, which means it's not practical to carry around a heavy laptop.) I find the keyboard case to be lighter than my previous case and offer more protection. than the folio style. It also has a secure loop to hold the Apple Pen when not in use and a top slot to charge the Apple Pen when in use. The keyboard also offers 10 backlit keys that can be turned off if needed to save battery life, but they're also handy when typing at night. Because I have it, I only had to charge it once (just when I first got the case) to ensure I had a 100 percent charge for a while. I've owned it for almost 2 weeks, use the key backlight a lot and haven't charged it since. The keyboard case allows you to rotate the screen about 8 different ways, which I have used for different purposes, which is more than I could do with the Apple Magic Keyboard. I also like that the case protects it all the time. With the Magic Keyboard, I would have to take it out of the case to use the iPad the way I want it, especially for taking photos, leaving it exposed at times. Not an option for me. I haven't had any connection issues and this keyboard gives me the ability to use it as both a tablet and a computer. (By the way, I wrote this review with this keyboard!) I highly recommend this keyboard if you want to work with your laptop on your iPad. :)
