I've been using cup brushes for 15 years, about once a week. It's been like this for the third week now and I'm sure it's going to be another week or two. It has a ring-shaped band that can be seen between the hands and the head. When it stops cutting, remove that ring and you'll get a second life out of it, reducing your cost of the rarer replacement.
