I've been using it for about a month and a half and my very first filter is starting to turn yellow when I fill it. After using the Britta filter for about six years, I finally did some real research on filtered fridge images from impartial third-party testers. These included Consumer Reports, Cooks Illustrated and The Sweet Home. I was surprised that it was one of the cheapest for replacement filters and for glass. Also the size is the same as any other door jug you will find. I noticed a difference in my water that I could tell when I went out and was forced to drink ice water out of the fridge door and noticed that not only is there a lot of limescale build up where the ice comes out, but also when you taste that water back. wonderful thing... You actually only taste clean and clear water. I also heard that the filters are very easy to change. I just hope I have more than six weeks as that will be the only downside. I'm not sure how long the yellow warning light will give you before turning red. I'm glad I switched.
