This is a fun element to add to rooms. You can even play silly games to keep the white bar (pictured) from hitting the ground by making sure you make a noise before it falls. I didn't quite understand the different modes with short or long presses of two buttons. It picks up the sound of a button being pressed, so that goes against what I thought I was setting it up to do. You'll understand if you pick it up and try to play around with the settings. I could not charge it and operate the product without a cable. I think there should be a light indicating cable detection. But I thought that the light in that hole doesn't light up when the cable is connected. The guide also mentioned that you can check the battery life, but I couldn't figure it out with the long and short presses of Morse code I have to run.
