23-inch Apple Cinema HD display and new MacBook Pro solution
D-port and MacBook Pro (new with USB-C port) is what you need. Works in 1920 x 1200 resolution. You can mirror it or use it as extra real estate. It's very Apple - just plug it in and it works. To my knowledge this is NOT a solution for later 30" displays as the adapter does not support "Dual Link" as required for this monitor, but I do not have this monitor to test.
