Not recommended for adult or large cats. I already have a similar hammock from another company that I have had for years and my cats love it but they started fighting about it. This exact item seems to have been discontinued because I couldn't find it anywhere so I ordered this PETMAKER hammock to end the battle but was a bit disappointed when I opened the package. The hammock itself is more suitable for a kitten or a very small breed of cat. The exact size of the hammock itself is missing from the size information in the description. If I had paid more attention, I would have noticed that the hammock is significantly smaller than the base. my fault So my 18 pound boy is definitely not going to be comfortable lounging in a (roughly) 12 inch hammock. I made a few changes and replaced the small hammock with a larger one so my cats can still use it but not in the way it was originally built.
