The sound quality is the primary benefit of using these headphones. But, you must be aware that the sound source is the most important factor to consider when using these headphones. They won't open the headphones, though, if the music is coming from a smartphone or a laptop equipped with a regular audio card. Because of this, some users have made claims about the quality of the playback. Whereas ordinary plugs simply consume all of the shoals caused by digitization and low resolution, all of this can be heard very clearly here. It's possible that this is the source of the criticisms leveled against the sound's bass, its heightened highs, or its overall character. The headphones have fantastic detailing, and one can easily make out all of the individual jambs that make up the source. I purchased a mobile DAC for these headphones (Digital-to-analog converter, my model is the TempoTec Sonata HD Pro), and with such a thing, the sound in the headphones is just space: it has a wide dynamic and frequency range, natural sound coloring, basses that sound great and deep (to me, according to at least enough), no raised tops, and good detail. On the other hand, not everything is as pleasant as we would like it to be: the primary claim to fame for these headphones is not in their sound, but rather in their ergonomics - the cable is uncomfortable, and any movement results in unnecessary noise. If the music is playing at a loud volume, there is no background noise to be heard; nevertheless, if the volume is not too high, then the background noise is nearly always present.
