We don't have air conditioning and the temperature has been close to 100 degrees Fahrenheit or higher for the past two weeks. We would be melting if we didn't have a large evaporative cooler known locally as a swamp cooler or swamp. But a swamp strider doesn't circulate the air like a real air conditioner does. So we have fans throughout the house to move the air. My office is in a kind of dead zone where the swamp can't reach. So when I walked in, my clothes immediately stuck to me with sweat. But I tried using a fan and couldn't get it to blow where I wanted. We have used these cute little black fans for years and when possible we attach them to the house where they are needed. The one in my bedroom ran out and we ordered this new one for the bedroom. We already had one for the office but I couldn't figure out how to get it to move air and blow on me. Enter our brilliant craftsman. After making sure he knew where I was going to blow, he attached the fan to the wall. When I'm sitting here and the thermometer outside is approaching 100, I'm very calm. Thanks to the fan manufacturers. Thanks, needlewoman.
