These were nice lights but I needed them on high shelves that could be turned on and off by remote. The remote worked but not at a far away (10-12) feet or high up. One was on the ceiling, one on the underside of a shelf about 16 inches under the ceiling (8 foot ceiling). I also had them tucked away on another shelf 12" from the ceiling, one on a candlestick and even standing below them, the remote wouldn't work. The adhesive is GREAT. It pulled down part of my ceiling paint. I used the hair dryer to warm it up but wasn't using a tall enough ladder so I pulled it down. Nice lights, good weight to them, just not quite right for my spaces.
