I have used this hull for some diving and snorkeling in the Florida Keys. For most of my dives, I've used the case as an extra layer of protection (Hero 7 is waterproof to a depth of 33 feet, I didn't go deeper than 25 feet when diving). I've done a few dives to a depth of just over 40 feet. on reefs and on a sunken ship and not a single drop of water got into the hull, let alone the camera. friction fit. I placed the filters underwater so that the small volume between the body and the lens is filled with water, not air that can fog up (also, the filter you use depends on your depth; near the Surface you shouldn't do this I don't I don't need a filter and during the dive I started at a depth of 3ft to take photos/videos and progressed to a depth of 10-20ft where the filter was needed.) In both cases, boarding the boat was a simple bump that caused the filter to fall back into the ocean; I jumped up once to pick it up, a second time another watchful diver grabbed it (I would have lost it for not seeing it come loose). A small strap can be attached to the filter, but there is no convenient place on the housing to attach the other end of the strap. Unfortunately, while I was fishing for lobster and a relative was filming me, the filter I was using disappeared. The ease with which you can lose filters is the only reason I'm giving the case a 4 instead of a 5.
