From February until now I've had the same complaints as everyone else. Failed to align properly, wood burned, too many cracks etc etc. Well I learned a lot making 25 shaker doors. The first 4 were sent in the trash because they had too many flaws and the 5th was 1/4 inch too small. Even when I was learning how to use the router, it annoyed me. The old router was the cheapest single speed router. I just bought a 14 amp Craftsman and it solved the alignment problem as it stays where you put it. The old one changed when you locked it, and sometimes while working. This solved one of the alignment issues. I learned how to measure wood at a store because a sticker that says 3/4 inch doesn't mean it. Sometimes one board is 1/32 thicker than another and you will never get proper alignment. The burn issue is gone as this router has the power and lower RPMs to deliver good push. I also think there is less vibration which makes for a cleaner cut. I'm still using these beats and am finally happy with what I'm trying to do. Only 7 drawers left and the kitchen is done!
