Review on 🔧 Dewalt DCD791D2 Compact Li-Ion Brushless Drill by Stanislaw Rogulski ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best product, from those that I have viewed, I advise everyone!

I am editing the review half a year after I had this screwdriver repaired under warranty. now I drove him in the tail and mane. For the past 3 months, his main work has been mixing mixes and drilling aerated concrete. the work is dusty and not easy. until you die. I'm changing my review from 2 to 5, he deserves it. 1) to make adjustments to the smooth stop of the cartridge 2) work on the cartridge so that it doesn’t wedge, make it more fleshy, otherwise the foil of the cartridge bell is very thin, don’t paint it black, leave it without paint, otherwise it’s scratched right away, it’s dumb to see on a new tool 3) the most important thing is not to pour the compound on the button and electronics, let there be spare parts separately: engine, button, electronics unit. If you are afraid that moisture will get in, seal the case. the compound on the electronics unit is also not needed, there is enough varnish, the mosfets burn, but they are soldered without problems in any service just with a hairdryer. the advantages of a brushless motor are negated, because it is no longer reliable due to the likelihood of failure of related parts. 4) try to get away from the special tool for removing the cartridge, let it become 3mm longer and 10 grams heavier, for that it is maintainable.

Pros
  • power and more power, good light, convenient to hang on a belt, convenient magnetic bit holder
Cons
  • 1) failed at 3 weeks of light use without dust, overheating, moisture and other things. I twisted a little self-tapping screws into a tree in my garden . I just started to turn a self-tapping screw 4.8 by 50 and in the middle it turned off and did not turn on again. service sentenced to replace the block button + electronics + engine. hence the second drawback, repairs not under warranty are expensive, if you want to replace a button or electronics, you will change the unit assembly with the engine for $ 100. if you want to replace the cartridge, you won’t be able to remove it without a special tool and you will change the entire mechanics unit for about the same amount. 3 year warranty, but do I have to go to the service and wait for a month for spare parts in the official service of the city of a millionaire? 2) jammed the cartridge, clamped the bit manually without fanaticism, not by rotating the cartridge, worked, then simply could not spin the cartridge, it was only possible to hold the cartridge in the old timing belt and turn on the reverse rotation at first speed. and after all, you can’t present a devolta for such a jamb, but it’s already dumb, I’ll climb the roof, and the cartridge will jam, I’ll have to go down. 3) too abrupt stop of the cartridge, hence the problems with the fact that the cartridge itself relaxes and bits fly out, quite often 4) there is a beating of the cartridge, but this is the lesser of evils
