Refurbished - great deal for a student

I bought an SP6 i5/8GB/128GB along with a cobalt blue cover, screen protector and Microsoft Complete for about $850. I also have a fake Surface Pen that I bought from Revain for $30. The set is almost perfect for me. I use OneNote to organize my typed and handwritten notes. I like to use Dual Split Screen with PPT or Chrome. Since I use Google for my photos and calendar and Microsoft and OneDrive for all my schoolwork, I only use about 60GB of storage. It's perfect for my needs, although you buy more big games than me, not just my Civ 6, I would recommend 256GB. 8 GB of RAM is sufficient for my purposes. I usually only use around 50-60% to keep everything running smoothly. The display is beautiful, it's a pleasure to write on, and the kickstand works great, if not ideal for lap work. The battery life has improved a lot compared to my old SP4 m3/4gb/128gb which is very important for me. If you can find a deal like me ($500 for i5/8GB) I would seriously recommend this laptop to most people. If you don't play intense games or run other demanding video editing programs, you will find that it meets all your needs with its premium appearance. I'd definitely recommend paying the extra $150 for the Microsoft kit for the two years of security that it comes with on its own. I also recommend getting a decent screen protector (mine was only $15 and was pretty easy to apply) since I cracked my last Surface. The SP6 is a great laptop and tablet and I know it will serve me for many years to come. I can't be happier with my purchase.
