It does an amazing job of displaying a great picture quality and sound quality on a 1080p TV with no issues. The metal body keeps the device cool as well so you never feel the need to switch it off. And my PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Chromecast all switch inputs reliably as soon as I switch them on with no issues, also switching my TV to the correct input when I switch back and forth between devices connected to the HDMI switch and the device connected to my remaining HDMI port on my TV. Because of this, I have felt no need to even put a battery in the cheap-feeling remote control.My only complaint is the cause of dropping my rating to 4 stars. The IR-receiver on the device picks up my TV remote as well and the volume down function for my TV is the same as the power button for the HDMI switch. This wouldn't have been an issue for me since I don't have a need for the HDMI switches remote and could cover it up with tape, however, when this first happened, I thought the device had broken very quickly and messed with it for at least half an hour before I realized the issue. When the HDMI switch is turned off, there is still a light that makes it look like it is on even when it is not.This is something to be aware of because some brands of TVs share IR bandwidths for similar functions.
