I bought this docking station to use with my new Dell Inspiron 15 7000 laptop. So far it has done almost everything I need it to do. I will use it every day. QUALITY: 10/10 The build quality of this docking station is excellent. Even the packaging surprised me. It was packaged in a very nice box with a quality protective sleeve to ensure it arrived in perfect condition. It is very durable and the various connectors fit snugly and securely into their ports. CHARACTERISTICS: 9/10 I really like what this dock has to offer. Multiple display options, RJ45 Ethernet, USB 3.0, 2.0 and C ports, microphone/audio in and out. This is one of the main reasons I bought these. The only problem I have is that it cannot power my laptop via USB-C. This is because my laptop requires 65 watts or more. It's not really a dock issue, it's a compatibility issue on my part. So far I've connected USB devices to my laptop (including an audio interface that worked great) and 2 HDMI displays at the same time. I used it to charge my phone via the USB 3.0 port and best of all I was able to use the ethernet port for faster speeds than I can get with WiFi. (See screenshot.) My wired internet connection is 80 Mbps, but for some reason this laptop limits the Wi-Fi speed to 25 Mbps (and the laptop doesn't have an RJ45 port). I haven't been able to figure it out yet so was very excited to see that I can get FULL connection speed through the docking port. USABILITY: 10/10 Everything just works. I've connected displays, devices, charged things, etc. and it was all very easy to set up. At one point I had two TVs connected via HDMI and was able to reconfigure the displays in Windows to extend the desktop to the left and right of the monitor. I didn't have to configure anything or download drivers - everything just worked. I was surprised. SUMMARY Buy. If you need a docking port for your laptop, this is a godsend and well worth the money.
