Good tree for us!

If you are looking for a thick wood that looks like cut (stuccoed) spruce then this tree is NOT for you. However if you are generally looking for a slender tree with more open spacing that will allow for many decorations like ours then this is a good tree. Yes, you can see through if there's light behind it, but it looks very realistic if you take the time to shape the branches individually when you first set them up. Took me about 2 hours! As our first artificial tree, I bought this because I thought it would be quicker and easier to install than a real tree. I was wrong! At least I don't have to water it and worry about the fire and get rid of it in January! .and pays for itself after a few years of use. It cost $163 at Revain, minus an additional $50 rebate offered on select trees during their main Thanksgiving weekend sale. It's hard to hit $113 in the month leading up to Christmas so I pulled the trigger and now that it's done and the job is done I'm happy with it. I recommend checking the lights on each section prior to installation as the branches are really pressed from the factory. It comes in a large, heavy box that is about 4 feet long by about 16" x 16" wide and weighs 40#. The only issue I had was that the base of the top section was about 2 inches too long, creating a noticeable gap that required further shaping of the branches to hide them, or the underside of the top shorten section. (I chose the latter with a pipe cutter which solved the problem). Overall I'm happy with this tree and it looks real, especially after it's been decorated. All my photos were taken before decoration.
