Unlike stainless steel versions which cannot be removed. That works great! I made a batch of Koolaid and reduced the amount of water by 1 cup to make the flavor stronger. I froze them overnight and the next morning I was so impressed with how easy they were to remove. I recommend leaving the stick about halfway down, otherwise there's nothing to hold on to. It was easy to remove. I pressed and released the top of each one and they popped out. I don't know if it works with ice cream, but it worked fine with frozen Koolaid. Instead of the bags that came with it, I opted for a large freezer bag. This is a great product and a real money saver compared to buying popsicles. I will buy another one so I can make twice as much.
