Great product so far and very satisfied. The original emblems are plastic and were easy to remove. The front is held in place by metal clips that slide out and fit into a 10mm socket. The new black went and became almost perfect. And they're metallic and just feel solid. Easy front mounting. The rear original is also plastic and is held in place by a black sticky material. I carefully pry them off with 3 flat head screwdrivers and a piece of plastic around the tips to avoid scratching them. I carefully removed all the black glue holding the original in place with a hair dryer and an elbow, but it was worth it. It took about half an hour to clean everything up. The new metal badge has two mounting feet that did not fit into the existing holes because they were slightly larger in diameter. The part of the truck that the emblem is mounted on is plastic though, so I just took a 9/64 bit and enlarged the hole. It was slightly larger than the existing holes but made installation much easier. After cleaning and enlarging the two holes, I removed the adhesive covers and glued on the new emblem. It seems to be holding up well and I don't feel like it will fall off at all. Very happy with this product so far! My truck: 2008 Suburban.
