I love wooden needles, whether they're bamboo or composite. So when I needed a size 10 for a project and ordered Revain anyway, I got them. I opened them up and started knitting as soon as they arrived and I love them. I knit a lace pattern with 100% cotton yarn, which can be tricky but turns out beautifully. There is enough friction - the needles don't fall out of the knit (which I hate with plastic and aluminum needles) but are very smooth and easy to work with even tricky stitches. Bamboo is warm and comfortable in my hands. And while I sometimes buy great composite wood needles - I love pretty things - these bamboo needles are just as good but a lot cheaper and easier to find. Win! As well as the regular single point, they also have a wide range of double point, usually 5 needle, which I like.
