These scissors offer much more precise control when cutting the inevitable long threads into new ones.
These scissors give you much more control over trimming the inevitable long threads on new clothes. I usually use a lighter to burn the threads down to a minimal length, but sometimes this leaves a smoky smell on the clothes; No problem for jeans, backpack etc, but a poor choice for a shirt or suit. These scissors (with practice as they are held differently than scissors) will get the job done right.
