These 14 inch rebar spikes were perfect for installing this 6 foot park curb! As if they were specially made for it ... but if so, then there must have been four spikes. I understand that there are different sizes of park curbs (some with two anchor holes, some with three, and many with four). However, I would like Eagle Abrasives to offer reasonably priced kits with different numbers of lugs. I had to buy two of these kits to fix the curb in the parking lot. I am only deducting one star for this inconvenience because two of these kits were still cheaper than any kits I could find at Revain with four inserts. In terms of construction, they are made of rebar but shaped like a giant nail. with a head and a pointed end. They are the perfect length for digging gravel into the ground. These spikes sank effortlessly into the ground thanks to the sharp point and head, which made the perfect striking surface for my mini sledgehammer (a regular hammer would do just fine). Some have complained of rust. Yes, there is surface rust, but this is not uncommon in rebar; Integrity is not questioned and will last for many years of service. These rebar spikes worked great to secure my curb in place. As long as they keep the cub right where I need it for accurate parking. I recommend this product but wish they offered a 4 piece set.
