I bought this item so my son can use my ipad to watch videos and play games (I have a keyboard case that is not suitable for children). While I prefer cases that are all rubber/silicone, this one does the job perfectly. The fact that the back can be rotated 360 degrees allows my son to play games that require the iPad to stand upright (which is not the case with our other all-silicone case). The handle on the back has proven very useful when we watch videos in bed - it offers a different way of holding the iPad and some relief for my sore hands when holding the iPad by my side for long periods of time. The iPad was the first to hit the floor with the screen today and it didn't break, so I think the raised sides provide some protection for the screen (although the screen isn't covered by anything). Connecting the charging cable is a bit fiddly, but doable. I still have something to learn about the volume button: there doesn't seem to be a way to change the volume from the case (we did it on the screen and it was good), but as I said, maybe I just did the spot up to me found (I didn't search very well). I am happy with the purchase. I just wish there was an option with less fancy colors (we have green, that's fine, but I'll be using that too, so I'd prefer it to be a little more discreet).
