Perfect for using my Bose AM5 (1996) home theater system with my new Samsung 4k Smart TV
Installation is easy and works great. Not entirely sure if a USB connection to the TV is required as analog audio works fine both plugged in and unplugged. It feeds a light that indicates the device is on and is too bright behind the TV. I am NOT RATING THE VOLUME CONTROL section below as it is used in the Bose system and not in this converter adapter.
- Toslink Digital Audio to Analog L/R Audio supports 32kHz, 44.1kHz, 48kHz and 96kHz sampling rates. 24-bit incoming S/PDIF bitstream on left and right channels. This optical D/A converter is not compatible with 5.1 channel signal such as Dolby AC3, please set the audio output to PCM or LPCM before using this adapter.
