When they arrived they smelled strongly of rubber. I put them on my controllers and when I first used them my daughter and I had some black stuff on our hands. However, this hasn't happened since then and the smell went away after about a day. I like that the cases (I bought both red and blue) give the controllers extra grip. I would also like to suggest to the seller that maybe they sand the edges of the case at the seam since I had to do it myself. The case's seam protruded so much that my hand kept rubbing it while playing, leaving a small imprint on my hand. I took a small pair of scissors and sandpaper, smoothed it out and no more problems. Overall, while I like the look, I love how it fits and I love the extra support.
