Exactly as pictured. real tree. Relatively heavy and easy to set up (maximum 2 chairs in 30 minutes). All details are correctly selected and drilled. All hardware included and an Allen wrench which was the only tool I needed. Once assembled, they are sturdy and have wide seats. Should easily support most adults. And yes, you can stand on that chair to reach the bulb with confidence (but you really should invest in LED bulbs - I haven't changed them in years :0)>
