Needed a few more USB-A ports than the 2018 Mac mini so I went with this one - it has a 3.5" hard drive attached with it Power supply and 2.5-inch non-powered HDD enclosure and monitor hub are connected to it and work without problems at rated speed. The cable that comes out is made of a soft-touch material and is long enough to sit comfortably next to the headset without any issues or significant kinks. The power warning in the product description definitely applies. While I've had success with the 2.5" drive, I've had no success with the Pioneer Blu-ray USB drive. It might work intermittently and then turn off suddenly. Using one of the Mini's USB-A ports directly worked fine. This is not a product defect, just an info. In terms of color, while Space Gray is a bit lighter than the new Mini (seems like Apple has different definitions of Space Gray these days), it's very similar to the 2016-2017 model year notebook in Space Gray and has a similar finish, so I'm satisfied.
