This cable is only suitable for charging. I bought it hoping for an inexpensive alternative to the Apple cable. I need to connect an iPhone 8 to a car stereo and the car stereo uses a 30-pin connector. There is no sound and the stereo doesn't even recognize the phone.
- This adapter lets you connect devices with a Lightning connector to many accessories with a 30-pin connector. Supports syncing and charging. Video output is not supported.
