Mitutoyo digital calipers, feeler gauges, wrenches of known diameter and even a locksmith's ruler and that's in the Basically the right decision, definitely within 1/1000th of an inch or so if not 1/10,000th. The problem with some reviewers is that you are not supposed to measure with a hole, as might seem intuitive, but with a slot going there extends. If you look at the first photo, you can see that while the holes are level after a certain point, as one reviewer notes, the grooves are actually tapered and properly machined when measured with a feeler gauge. In the second photo I measure with a 5/64" hex wrench (078125) in the .078" slot and the fit is exactly as you would expect, snug with no glitches. Thickness gauges also measure directly on the money - but couldn't measure with a caliper. Not a bad picture, so I just put it to the driver's rule. These sensors are very accurate, you just have to use them correctly.
