Brand new batteries, flashes and says low batteries. I kept changing and buying batteries thinking it was the batteries. WRONG block does not work. I put new batteries in and it reads and then says the batteries are low. Take out the batteries and it will read and then say the batteries are low. The booklet that came with it says "One year lifetime warranty." Lol good! Indicates that you must file a claim to ship it back to an address in China. Shipping there costs more than a thermometer. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE!
