As bathing sandals or everyday sandals for home and yard, they are similar to the Puma brand, which used to be always comfortable (store bought a few years ago). In these sandals, the ribbed hard rubber insole reduced the comfort to the point that the balls of my feet hurt compared to the previous Puma brand model. I had to put ointment and a bandage on the sole of one foot (before it got worse). I will look for an alternative, but in these times when the product quality seems to be dropping in many areas and the price remains the same or higher, there may not be anything better to buy in my demographic. If I ever buy this shoe again maybe I'll see what can be done to soften or file down the inner lugs before wearing.
