Easy to install. It comes with a template for drilling holes and placing screws. That makes the job so much easier. I initially used a thick, removable, double-stick tape because I did not want to put holes in my cabinet door. Even though the tape is supposed to hold up to 50 pounds, I decided I did not trust it. Day 2 - I went back, used the template, and properly installed the knife rack.The magnetic strength is better than all of my other knife strips. I tested it out before installing it. It is the only magnetic strip I have found that will securely hold my heavy meat cleaver or my heavy poultry sheers.It is a beautiful piece of walnut with the magnet inside.I put all of my kitchen poultry sheers and scissors on it.
