Revainrating 3 out of 5

Great mascara, terrible price. These prices are going crazy.

Okay, let me break down my star rating here so it makes sense. This ink is amazing and like the ink it is a 5 star product. So why only three stars? Actually two reasons. First and foremost, I just don't think he lives up to his XL status. There doesn't seem to be that much ink in these tanks to merit such a label. I walk through them as if they were water. While I've been known to print a lot of 8.5x11 photos, I still think something labeled XL should be enough for 30 or 40+ prints. This is often not the case. Second, the price of each tank is a bit ridiculous. I mean seriously. At the prices they charge for ink, Canon should make the printers available for free. It's pretty crazy. I understand why so many people choose cheap third party inks. Trust me I was tempted. I'm in the habit of coloring a hundred dollars a month. Absolutely ridiculous. Another important point about these inks. I've been using this particular ink for a couple of years now and have said I print a lot and have probably used 30 cans of magenta so far. I have NEVER had a single blockage. It is impressive. It's not that inkwells should be clogged, but many of them are clogged. Not this one. So here it is. Great ink but not very economical and you won't get everything. And the prices keep going up. Is there some kind of ink shortage that someone forgot to tell me about? SUMMARY: I would highly recommend this ink, but I understand the need to look for cheaper inks. I'm sticking with Canon ink, but it gnaws at me that that one ink tank costs 20% of the cost of the printer. Honestly I would like to give it 3 stars because of the cost factor but the ink is so good I can't bring myself to give it.
