Switch owners can share my opinion that one USB port on the Switch dock is not enough. This USB hub is great for [A] charging your controllers (I've had to experiment with some hubs that didn't charge things) and [B] supporting a wired ethernet connection (I use an ethernet-to-USB adapter and it works). when connected to a hub). My only caution is that the cord is only a few inches long. This works well for the Switch as it allows it to reveal the back panel, which can then be folded down without extending too far beyond it. If you want to plug it into the back of your PC, that probably won't suit your needs.
