I like the branded carrying case and the extra balanced cable, and I found the box to be both attractive and functional (you can keep the headphones inside, though removing the cord would be inconvenient). Pros: I'd been using the Sony MDR-XB700 model previously, and while I had my doubts about the bass and sound quality, I was able to put those to rest after purchasing these headphones. They produce an exceptionally clear sound with a stylish, powerful bass, and I was struck by how light they were as soon as I held them. This model's sound isolation is excellent; when wearing them, the music is barely audible, but when taken off, the full clarity of the sound is revealed. Its swivel bowls are an added bonus that makes them easier to put on and take off your head. The headphones appear to be constructed of decently high-quality materials; I heard no annoying squeaks or rattles while using them. ConsI didn't feel like the headphones went deep enough into my head, so my right ear occasionally bumps into the grille. This can be remedied by repositioning the headphones, though, so your mileage may vary.
