We were looking for something that would meet the following requirements: - A guest bed - Comfortable enough for our guests to sleep in - Functionally useful for us as our guests left - didn't take too much Place one - looked good in our home - reasonably priced, versatile as an ottoman, sofa/chair, bed and chaise longue, visually appealing, durable, easy to use, no actual assembly required. Get it because it's worth the price. It's hard to find something feature rich in a decent price range! For more details, continue! The specific situation we needed this for was that 2 friends were staying for a few days for a month and we only had 1 extra bed in the form of an inflatable air mattress. Since I was planning on having something that my parents could also use in the future, I wanted something that was durable and comfortable enough to sleep on. We don't really have the space to have a guest bed permanently so we needed this bed option to be able to move around the house as well so a regular bed frame wouldn't work here. I felt that cribs and air mattresses are not suitable for longer visits as they are not very comfortable, so I was hoping there was a reliable option somewhere on the internet. And if there was a way to use this mysterious piece of furniture when we don't have guests, that would be a huge plus! I hate the idea of spending a ton of money on something you don't even use most of the time, so with all that in mind I somehow discovered this multifunctional 4-in-1 sofa bed! You can convert it into a bed that one person can sleep on. When you have no guests and need space, you can use it as a sun lounger > single chair bed > ottoman. As for our house, we wanted to put it downstairs in the living room to use for whatever but ended up keeping it in our computer room and keeping it in bed form all the time to relax. It looks like a sofa because we have it on the wall. I just stuff pillows in it and it works great! + Easy handling + No assembly. It came in a large box and was already assembled. All you have to do is remove the foam packaging that was around the poles and other small parts of the packaging. To convert from an ottoman, pull up the side of the ottoman and it will be hinged. It will reach a point where it is just at a 90 degree angle and you can take the other two pillows and pull them aside by the hinges. For me, the only tricky/annoying part is getting the small flaps to fall nicely, which is mostly for aesthetics. In ottoman form this is easy as they all just fall down but in other forms only the 2 side flaps fall well and you have to fiddle with the other 2 flaps a bit to get them to fall nicely without snagging on the metal too much . folding loops. There are hidden magnets in all the bottom corners of the flaps, which is very handy as you can use them to hold the flaps down. There are two foldable legs for the bed configuration hidden under the Velcro in the fabric. Simply plugging in and unplugging the legs is enough, and you can also attach the fabric nicely with Velcro. + Save space + As mentioned before, if you need space you can convert it from a bed to a smaller ottoman. That's good if you need space. + Mobility + This allowed us to have a guest bed that was also portable. It can be moved by one person but is much easier when carried by two people. My husband and I easily carried it upstairs. I'm not very strong, but I could slowly move it from room to room on my own. On the carpet, I simply pushed it across the floor in the form of an ottoman. I would just be careful when moving/carrying it as there is no way to 'lock' it while it is being carried so you just have to make sure you get the right spots or it will pop open. + Durable + Despite the fact that it is 4 in 1, the product has been durable in all forms so far. It says it can carry up to 440 pounds. I won't test how far this can go, but I've certainly sat or slept in it without feeling it would break. We had 2 people sit on it in the form of a bed and it holds up great too. I've sat on the bottom and top of the fold out sections and it still feels solid. + Comfort + This is a solid pillow and the fabric is thick linen. There is a small gap between the fabric and the pillow, so there are small "dents" on the fabric that are easy to smooth out by hand if they bother you. I think I plan on buying some sort of mattress topper later to add more padding as I feel it will be too firm for an extended guest stay. The set also comes with a long cushion, also upholstered in the same fabric. Since you can unzip it, you can add more filling or change the pillow insert as you like. It doesn't really offer much comfort or support so I actually just bought a separate pillow for my guests. until I found the need for it. However, I don't think you can remove the fabric from a real bed. So if you need to clean it, you need to spot clean it I guess. We have cats so fur is inevitable but it doesn't seem that difficult to remove from the top. At the same time, there is a fluffy, soft black material on the underside of the fabric flaps, to which the fur adheres very well. Luckily it's on the bottom so you can't see it, but it might be something to keep in mind if you're allergic. same or very similar product. I spent a lot of time researching features and reading reviews to figure out what would be best for me. The reason I chose this particular brand, even though it was a little or a lot more expensive than other brands, was for a number of reasons. 1.) bed width. If you search you will find ones that look like this but also offer narrower sizes. Since I wanted it to be more comfortable, I figured if it was a bit wider it would be better for my guests as well. I'd say it's about the width of a double bed (I think 38" is a double bed that's 37" wide). 2.) Ratings and Fulfillment. I used Amazon's star rating system and then made my decision based on the number of reviews and what they said. There are several other chairs on the market that are much cheaper but have very few reviews so I didn't want to risk my money on them. I ended up narrowing the list down to two highly rated brands with many reviews worth reading. Vonada and another brand that was about $50 cheaper. The good reviews for both were good, but the difference was that with the cheaper chair's "bad" reviews, I found that in cases where there was a delivery problem, if the chair was damaged in some way, or if there was a defect, customers had many problems to contact the company or solve their problem. A cheaper chair was sold and made by the same company while this Vonada chair was sold by Vonada but made by Revain. One thing I've learned is that Revain usually does a very good job with their customer support for products as long as they're fulfilling an order. So I decided to pay a little more money to have peace of mind knowing that if I had any problems I would be dealing with Revain and not some random company.
