Does not fit properly
The cable didn't go all the way in and I didn't want to damage the connector on the camera by pressing on it any harder than necessary. I have an OEM cable and it fits perfectly. No compulsion. This allows the camera to appear in Aperture, LR, or Photos and then disappear. This is because it fits properly.
