Review on 🔥 Enhanced SKY-3301P2 Backlit Programmable Fireplace Remote Control with Thermostat - Skytech 9800325 by Michelle Singleton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A great option for a remote thermostat with auto setback.

I am using this on a Harman P43 pellet stove. The control unit is connected in series between one of the wires of the temperature sensor and the rear wall of the oven - it doesn't matter which one. I placed a remote control/temperature sensor box near the entrance in the side room - experiment with the position to see what works for you, but this allows my kitchen pellet stove to keep the living room warm. The temperature on the stove should be set to room temperature and at least a few degrees above your target temperature - some recommend 10 degrees or more to get the maximum burn when the Sky Tech thermostat is on. I have settings of 75 on the stove, 71 on the skateboard with a 1 degree temperature swing. I leave my stove on manual ignition for constant maintenance when the temperature is below 40 degrees. A quick toggle to Auto while Skytech is on starts a sequence of automatic lights and then back to Manual so it doesn't turn off completely between heat requests - this reassures me on cold nights because it won't cycle off and on again. won't catch fire if I don't scratch the pot well enough. If left in the "Auto" position, the oven will start and stop as required. Make sure the auto-ignition area of the burner is scraped down to metal daily to avoid false starts - I can do this during maintenance by scraping under hot coals, but it's not recommended. Setback mode: Set the thermostat to 'Thermo' and the desired setback temperature (or non-programmable temperature). I use 65 degrees overnight. Then turn on the "PROG” function and the thermostat will operate according to the program setpoint during the program time and according to the setback temperature the rest of the time. To change the setback temperature, turn PROG off and then change the temperature and turn PROG back on. This way I can save on pellets for the night and when I get up in the morning the house is still warm.
